Who We Are Who We Are

Adrienne Shulman, Founder and CEO, the "I" and "Me" of TinyPlayground
Some quick facts: I grew up outside of Philly, went to school at Penn State, lived in Manhattan for 8 years and now with 2 young girls I find myself in Westchester County.  I have a well established career in Information Technology, having held roles over the last 10 years as a software engineer, software architect, development manager and solution architect.  I love what I do, but I love love love being a mom even more!

So, what type of mother am I? I'm a little bit earthy; I've had 2 natural childbirths and breastfed my babies until they were 8-9 months old. I loved to spoil my babies, I carried them often and fed on demand.  But I also believe in age appropriate limits; I "encouraged" both babies to sleep through the night by 6 months (I HATE the term sleep training, but that's essentially what I did, and have happily enjoyed 12 hours of quiet every night since then). I love baby gear and gadgets that make life easier but I refuse to have my house and life taken over by BCLPOs (that's Brightly Colored Large Plastic Objects of course).   And this is the attitude I bring to TinyPlayground where you will find practical resources and advice without all the crap you don't need.
